About Carers Gateway
What We Do
Carers Gateway North Ayrshire provides information, support and advice to unpaid carers across North Ayrshire.
You might know us under our previous name of North Ayrshire Carers Centre, Irvine.
We aim to ensure all carers of all ages are identified, and give them awareness and access to the support they need for their caring role.
We do this by providing a range of services in the community and online.
Who We Are
Thanks to our strategic partnership with North Ayrshire Health & Social Care, we have recently expanded and now have dedicated support officers in Irvine, Kilwinning, The Three Towns, Arran, North Coast and the Garnock Valley.
Our team are always looking for new ways to support our fellow citizens and widen our impact.

How We Got Here
We’ve provided support for carers in North and South Ayrshire for more than 20 years as part of Unity, a Scottish charity and social enterprise.
Unity was founded in 1989 to help people who are disadvantaged or at risk of exclusion in the West of Scotland.
We believe in fair and inclusive communities where everyone is valued and has opportunities to fulfil their potential.
